Stan Harrell

Stan has served on the Foundation Board since 1995. He is a full time Angel Fire resident that moved here in 1972 to become a ski bum. Stan is the Owner/Qualifying Broker for Monte Verde Realty, which was formed in 1976. Stan has also served on the Angel Fire Resort Property Owners Association Board of Directors, Angel Fire Resort Architectural Review Committee, and the Angel Fire Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He is an avid fly fisherman and skier.

Charles Wilson

Charles has served on the Foundation Board for five years. He is a full-timer in Angel Fire since 1996. Charles has ten grandchildren spread out from Fort Worth, Texas, to Seattle, Washington, to Eagle Nest, New Mexico, so he and his wife Jamie enjoy extended grandparent outings during the year. Charles enjoyed a 27-year career in commercial roofing contracting as owner and consultant of his own company. He also was involved in residential and commercial real estate investments and development, material handling equipment distribution, a travel agency owner, and has a 14-year second career in Christian ministry as an emergency services chaplain, Christian retreat owner/host, and licensed minister. Charles is a volunteer firefighter/chaplain with the Angel Fire Fire Department and the Moreno Valley Fire Department. Charles’s most demanding pastime is being a grandparent to his 10 grandchildren. He also enjoys golf (some days), fishing, traveling, and reading.

Bill Mason

Bill has been a Foundation Board Member for five years, serving as Treasurer for four. Bill retired as an Environmental Engineer, working as a consulting engineer, in the treatment of water, wastewater, radioactive, and hazardous waste. Bill and his wife Cheryl have lived in Angel Fire for 13 years and travel outside of Angel Fire from time to time. Bill has volunteered with the Association of Angel Fire Property Owners, Angel Fire Fire Department and Emergency Management Service, Fire Support Team, Colfax County Fire District 6, the United Church of Angel Fire, Trekkers, Angel Fire Village Trails Committee, ALMs, Shuter Library, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Habitat for Humanity, and Music from Angel Fire. Bill’s major pastimes are hiking, winter sports, travelling, and volunteering.

Bonnie Bowles

Bonnie is a one-year Foundation Board member and currently serves as the Secretary. She is a full-time Angel Fire resident. Bonnie is licensed as an attorney in New Mexico and Texas, and she practices estate planning and family law. After growing up in Fort Worth, Bonnie graduated from Colgate University and University of Texas at Austin School of Law. Bonnie was a plaintiff’s litigation attorney in Houston and worked at law firms in New York City and South Carolina. She arrived in Angel Fire in May 2008 and married Tom Bowles, the chef and owner of The Roasted Clove, in June 2009. Bonnie also volunteers for the Association of Angel Fire Property Owners and the Angel Fire Peak Challenge, a high-altitude 10K run/bike race festival weekend. In her spare time Bonnie enjoys trail running, hiking with her dogs, and skiing.

Barbara Cottam

Barbara has been an Angel Fire since 1980. During this time she owned and operated Alpine Ski Rental and Lodging for 18 years. Formerly Barbara has served as Village of Angel Fire Council Member and two-term Mayor of Angel Fire. Barbara was instrumental in founding and forming the Moreno Valley Charter High School, a nationally recognized charter school. She currently serves as a Board Member for the Charter High School.

Richard Moore

Richard has lived in Angel Fire for 16 years. While most of these years were spent here full-time, Richard and his wife Pamela now have a second home in Lake Kiowa, Texas, that they visit in the spring and fall. Richard’s background is in the field of investment management and he has worked with banks, mutual fundsm and investment advisory firms. Richard also has owned retail stores in his past business life. Currently Richard still does investment work, both for himself and for a few clients. He is the Treasurer for the Men’s Golf Association and plays golf regularly. Richard has been on the Foundation Board for about one year.

Jim Trott

Jim is a retired petroleum engineer. He and his wife Peggy moved to Angel Fire as part-time residents in 2003. They continue to split time between Texas and Angel Fire. Jim is a newcomer to the AFCF board joining in 2009, and has served as a director of the Abell-Hanger Foundation in Midland, Texas, for 7 years. He also serves on the ALM Food Pantry board. Jim and Peggy enjoy golf and skiing and find Angel Fire as the ideal retirement destination.

Margaret VanAntwerp

Margaret has been on the Foundation board for six months. Margaret and her husband live in Angel Fire full-time. She works as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the Moreno Valley Healthcare Clinic. For four years, Margaret participated in the Headstart Program as their Medical Consultant in Bastrop, Texas. During the same years, she teamed up with other health care providers to host a yearly discounted Sports Physical Day that supported the athletic programs at Moreno Valley High School. In 2009 and 2010, Margaret helped with the planning of the Wellness Fair in Angel Fire. Margaret enjoys gardening, hiking, and skiing.

Guy Wood

Guy is the newest member to the Board. He is an Angel Fire property owner and full-time resident since 1984. Guy retired in 2006 from a 35-year career co-publishing weekly newspapers with his wife Marcia in Colorado and New Mexico, including Angel Fire’s Sangre de Cristo Chronicle from 1984 to 2006. Guy’s current community involvement includes the ALM Food Pantry as a volunteer and board member and member of the Angel Fire Sustainability Committee. His favorite hobbies are skiing and hiking. Guy has been married to Marcia 43 years, and they have two adult children, Heather and Christopher, who grew up in Angel Fire.
